Getting the Apple Command Key in remote desktop viewer

I am using Remote Desktop Viewer to view an Apple Desktop from my Dell running Ubuntu. Is there any way I can get the Windows key to act like the Mac command key so I can use keyboard shortcuts when viewing the remote mac?

Running Ubuntu 9.10, Mac Snow Leopard 10.6
