    Print Driver Issue

    Hello,

I installed Ubuntu 9.10 on 11/9/09 without any issues. Yesterday I installed the system recommended print driver for my HP Color Laser Jet 2600n. The test page printed all colors in gray scale.

Since that time I have looked for a better driver at both the HP site and a Linux print driver site.
    http://www.linux-drivers.org/

I have not found a driver that would improve my circumstances.

Any suggestions or insights on this will be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,
    John

    Re: Print Driver Issue

    Hi

I'm a complete newbie to Linux and Ubuntu having had it installed just over 24 hours so am just working my way around now.

I also have a HP 2600n laser printer. Installed the driver yesterday through the GUI, printed a test page and it was in grayscale.

I also tried the following from a different thread:

    sudo apt-get install foo2zjs

using the command line (I think - Applications>Accessories>Terminal) but it simply stated that I already had the latest version installed.

Anyone else had this problem and sorted it?

    Many thanks

    Gordon

    EDIT

    Ubuntu 9.10, btw
