NICE! I'm very impressed. Looks like you have the hang of it.

Looks Good. Definitely check out Inkscape (in the help menu is a tutorial that teaches the basic stuff..... which is all I know how to do)

    EDITED to add icons:

These were a bit more difficult to change, I couldn't get the moon correct so I just made the circle the moon. With the Frostwire icon I tried to keep the blue/white colors the same.

    Amarok:

I just think that the Chrome icon needs some work to make it a true circle, even if the real logo it's not. Keeping in mind that the other icons tend to be a regular shape and that you're doing a simplification of the real logo, it also might require a regular shape.

All the others are absolutely gorgeous. Great job.

I hardly ever use Inkscape but had some time to play around with it:

Can you show us the final result with MacUntu's logo, please?

DAMN! I was going to stop posting to this Ubuntu account since I got a 1337 post count..... well, here is post 1338..... I had to say really nice job, but the size was sort of wrong and there was no shadow like the other ones..... so I used MacUntu's logo.svg and made it match the others ones that I did.

So here you go Incubus9, try this one out:

Looks great! I like this program (Cairo-Dock) because I can save this set of launchers/icons as a package, and choose between different packages later. This will be useful when I choose to use a white background, and the neon icons won't have the same effect. My next request would be to re-render all of those icons in black or grayscale. So next time you get bored... =)

Hey Incubus9, can you show me another screenshot of your desktop using the icon that I just re-sized? Thanks.

And I could do all 6 .svg icvons in grayscale or any other color-combo in about 5 minutes using Inkscape..... it's that easy with .svg images and Inkscape..... but I'm not sure how to do the rest of the neon.png images with GIMP.

I'm pretty sure a GIMP expert could tell you how to do it, or just do them for you..... I've been real lazy abut GIMP and have never properly learned how to use it (other than the basic stuff like scaling and cropping images).
