Problem with USB mouse and keyboard.

    Hello there!

After some time of thinking I decided to get a piece of Linux. So I downloaded the latest version of Ubuntu ISO (9.10 Karmic Koala), burned it and installed it through Vista. Then I resetted and booted Ubuntu. When the black loading screen with the Ubuntu logo faded, a window popped up with the last installation progress. I couldn't use neither my mouse nor my keyboard. Do you know what the problem could be? I waited until the login screen, but still there wasn't any sign of hope.

If it can help, this is my mouse:
    My keyboard's name is 'PCL-MED2'.

I don't think this is a hardware problem, anyone got an idea of what's going on?

    Thanks in advance.

You could try unplugging/plugging your usb mouse/keyboard at the moment it stops working. I have to do this for my wireless bluetooth dell keyboard and mouse.
