Configuring Pulseaudio for skype WITHOUT removing it

    Hello,

I have spent days wading through pages and pages of pulseaudio/skype posts. All of the ones I have come across so far involve either selecting a device other than pulseaudio for the mic, or removing/disabling pulse audio.

Surely there is a way to actually set up pulse audio to work so Skype has Pulseaudio for all devices (Like in 9.10).

I am using 9.04 on my eeePC (as 9.10 corrupted the disk on install), and have installed all Pulseaudio managers and controlls, the mic works and I can record sounds in other apps, its just Skype which I can't get to work.

I can not actually select anything other that Pulseaudio for all Skype devices (so I can't just select the mic device manually), and I am convinced there is a way to set this up!!

    Cheers

    Martin

You might want to look at the best guide I've found to setup PulseAudio:

If you tire of it, you can always remove it:
