Unhappy Ubuntu 9.10 wireless adapter driver does not support 802.11n

I am running Ubuntu 9.10 on both my wife's and my PC. My router is capable of broadcasting in either 802.11b, g or n.. To communicate with my wife's machine, I've attached a Netgear WNDA3100 v1. wireless adapter that is also 802.11b, g, and n capable. The problem I've run into is that the wireless adapter (and its 9.10 driver) only works in 802.11b and g signaling mode, NOT "n." Any suggestions as to how I might get this adapter to work in "n" mode in Ubuntu 9.10?

    Thanks,

    Peter

Did you find out how to do this? I'm working to do this, too, and in fact would also like to be able to tweak the power parameters in the driver. Anyone know how to do that?

Same problem with D-Link DWA-542 adapter. I'd like to be able to stream hi-def video content to my mythtv box.

Keep me posted if you have any luck!
