    how to

    Hello
    I am using ubuntu for a year or so now I want to sell my PC and I can not remove ubuntu and install win xp as my customer wants.
    please show me a way just to remove ubuntu so that I can proceed with win installation

    You can just format the disk, you can use the gparted on a live cd to erase all partitions, and even the partition table. Then put in your windows disk create your partitions and off you go.

    Boot up with the Live CD.
    use the partition editor
    Del all partitions
    reformat the drive with NTFS

    If you want to get rid of Ubuntu off the computer you are selling. And have Windows XP on it instead.

    Go ahead and do that. Stick the Windows XP full version installation disk inside the Ubuntu PC.

    Boot of the Windows XP disk. Delete all partitions, Create partitions, Reformat the hard drive. Windows will start installing on your fresh formated drive.

    It's like when you stuck Ubuntu on it. You are just reversing the roles.

    Very true, but XP can't install itself on a properly clean disk .... kinda sad, i know.

    One of the many reasons I don't use it !!
