Poor Sound Quality on Bluetooth Headset

    Hello All,

I have a fresh install of Karmic as of today. I have tried with two different bluetooth headsets, both brand new. To rule out an issue with the headset, the headsets both work fine with my Blackberry phone, however, I get intermittent poor sound quality on my desktop. I am using the default bluetooth manager and sound server that comes with fresh install of karmic. Everything was detected and installed automagically.

It doesn't seem to matter how close or far I am from the desktop, I can be 10 feet away, or 2 feet away. Sometimes the sound quality is fine, and then randomly, the sound quality is completely in-audible. Is there something that I need to configure to get better sound quality more consistently?

    Thanks for any help

    JB

at KDE I found the following works:

Sound Preferences -> Hardware -> *choose the headset* -> Profile: High Fidelity Playback (A2DP)
