Quake 4 alt+tab, how?

How I can alt+tab out from Quake 4?

When game is runing, any of normal desktop change (ctrl+alt+arrow left/right) or window change (alt+tab, super+tab) shortkeys won't work.
Alt+Enter changes game to window mode but mouse is inside that window still and can't get out.
Alt+F9 (minimize window) just triggers quickload (F9 in game binding), so seems like game taking 100% focus on all actions I do

Game works great on Ubuntu, but seems game want too mutch focus, would like to alt+tab without closing game

Ubuntu 9.10 64bit, nvidia 190.42, what else?

it was correct move to try Alt+Enter to window it, but you also have to unbind the mouse by opening the console.

So first Alt + Enter, and then open the console with the ~ key or the button between Tab and ESC.
