How Do I Back Up Thunderbird?

I am going to do a reinstall. I was just wondering if someone knows how to back up thunderbird's settings and emails.

Also is there a way to backup firefox's saved passwords??

There might be a better method but I just copy the .mozilla and the .mozilla- thunderbird file that are in my home folder onto another disk. Then after the new install I replace the new ones with the ones I copied. Everything is back the same as it was.

Where are the Thunderbird files stored in the directory?

Please no command line solutions. I use the GUI.

Go to your Home folder.
Hit "Ctrl H" to show hidden files.
You should then be able to see .mozilla-thunderbird (any file with a . at the beginning is a hidden file)

.mozilla- thunderbird should have everything related to Thunderbird.
.mozilla has all your settings related to Firefox
