    Jumping windows

Does anyone else have this problem? You open a program that fills the screen then when you click on it the window jumps up a little and you can't click on one of the menu items, click the window again and the window jumps down again so you can see the menu items.
At the moment this is happening with Koverartist.
But it has happened before with another program.

    Re: Jumping windows

I had this happen on Banshee on my netbook... I can't explain what it was or how to fix it. Must be a Compiz setting? Are you using Kwin (KDE), Compiz or Metacity (default uncomposited Gnome) as your window manager?
I try to treat the cause, not the symptom. I avoid the terminal in instructions, unless it's easier or necessary. My instructions will work within the Ubuntu system, instead of breaking or subverting it. Those are the three guarantees to the helpee.
