    Brightness Problem

I have an MSI Wind U120 (I dont know if that's relevant) and when I use the shortcut keys to turn down or turn up the brightness it switches between two brightness levels right next to each other and makes my screen flash between brightnesses. This also happens when I shut my laptop screen and open it up. It DOES NOT flash between brightnesses when I use the brightness applet on the panel. I was wondering if there's any way to make this stop because it is really annoying.

    Please reply soon
    thanks in advance!

I don´t know if it was exactly the same problem I had, but I solved it by deleting the keyboard shortcuts that control brightness on system settings (Kubuntu). It worked. Now, the brightness doesn´t act crazy, it dims when I unlpug the ac cord, and I can still control the brightness, just the % bar doesnt show on the screen anymore. hope it helps.
