Xubuntu 8.04 Non-Internet/Networked Computer

Ok, just a quick (and somewhat dumb) question that I would greatly appreciate some help on. I just installed xubuntu 8.04 on a celeron 733mhz 256mb ram machine thst is not connected to the internet, and the nearest internet access is quite far. I was wondering, other than Wine and OpenOffice....what programs should I put on this machine to ensure that it will be able to everything that we will need it to do (including running windows software), and possibly some fun stuff....I would really appreciate any suggestions.
