    Unruly Gdesklets

    I've settled on just the starter bar and a clock for my desktop. The problem is that my starter bar won't stay on the bottom of the screen. I install it there and when I restart it goes to the top. I use the "Save Session" box when I shutdown but it always goes back up. I played with this feature (gdesklet) a lot at first and not all of them would show up after install, I see flashes of them at startup but nothing else. I can't middle-mouse-move it either.

    Right click on the toolbar choose preference/option click bottom and it will stay at the bottom.

    It was already on that setting. I've tried all config settings, no joy. I've also uninstalled-reinstalled, no joy either.

    Seperate issue, How do I get your Karacas wallpaper without the sysinfo bar? I've got it but can't figure out in gimp how to clear it from the pic.

    I have played with gdesklets but I give up on it to many bugs for my taste to much eye candy and time consuming. I stick with gkrellm it works plain and simple.

    Which wallpaper are you talking about, let me know and I will post it here for you to download, nice and clean. If you are talking about Linux a new world I just upload it to Gnome-look

    OK, How do I start gkrellm? I've installed what I wanted from synaptic. I've done the locate -u thing and found lots of files but don't know how to start them.

    The wallpaper was the two plastic molded twins.

    Applications--->Run Application type gkrellm
    Right click on gkrellm and you can set your option and plugins theme ect...
    New skins go in .gkrellm/skins and the plugins /plugin
    Gkrellm skins

    Wallpaper in the attachment I can remember where I got that one
