I've only been using ubuntu for a few days, so feel free to talk down to me.
I've installed jaunty 9.04 and i've been quite impressed so far. The issue i'm having right now is, i have a GeForce fx5200 graphics card and whenever i install the drivers from Nvidia my resolution drops to 640x480, with my only other option being 320x240.
without installing any driver i'm still only able to get up to 800x600, which is a little better, but still unable to run any 3d games (including games designed for Linux such as OpenArena.)
any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated, even if it seems painfully obvious.
