    Hibernate/suspend don't work

Notebook: Asus X51R (video adapter ATI Radeon Express 1100)
    OS: Ubuntu 9.04
Kernel: 2.6.28, 30, 31 (original and mainline kernels from https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelTeam/MainlineBuilds)

Hibernate/suspend DIDN'T WORK in my fresh-installed Ubuntu 9.04. But I've updated xorg-server, xserver-xorg-video-ati, pm-utils, and all the rest utils (https://launchpad.net/~xorg-edgers/+archive/ppa?field.series_filter=jaunty), and now hibernate works fine, but suspend still doesn't work (system freezes during awakening).

Is there any way to make suspend work right (if hibernate now works fine)?
