    Exclamation Monitor Problem Needed

Hi I am new to Ubuntu so please go easy on me

I recently got Ubuntu 10.04 for my laptop with Windows installer. I love Ubuntu it is way better than I thought it would be.

But I am having a problem with the new monitor that I got. It is the LG Flatron W2340V. I have the disk that comes with it but don't know how to get it to run to install.

When I plug everything in it goes into power saving mode. I know it works because I have used it with an Xbox 360 with a VGA cord.

I have gone into a guest account and the monitor was on and a clone of the screen on the laptop. So I think it has something to do with my account specifics.

I have gone to System>Aministration>Hardware Drivers to try and install the driver but it only comes up with my WiFi card and nothing more.

What I want to get is 2 monitors working side by side not like a clone of the other.

If someone could please help I would be very grateful and if there is any other information that you might need to help me please reply. Thanks Jordan
