Dazzle output black and white!

I bought the Dazzle Video Creator. I have am viewing the output via v4l2 through wxcam.

The output from the dazzle is black and white! Although the wii which is hooked up through the dazzle is showing colour on the tv and colour appears in wxcam on some homebrew applications.

Any ideas?

After some experimentation I used Cheese to capture video from the dazzle in colour.
