Compaq CQ61-280EJ

hi all,
i buy a new Compaq Presario CQ61-280EJ laptop, and i have problem with the audio and wireless, since i couldn't hear any voice, i update the alsa and try every thing with audio prefrences. i hope to find to me the solution, im new in ubuntu and need your help. i liked this OS and dont want to go back to MS OS because of such a problem.

Unnn any news? Im considering buyin a presario CQ61, but without wireless its a no go.

I know this is not a help for you but I got a cq60-300 which works perfectly with Jaunty 9.04. The only thing that irritates me is that the button wireless is red though the wireless is working perfectly without any tweaking.

Now I am on 9.10 Karmic and everything works perfectly even the wireless button became blue after activating backports and kernel 2.6.31.20

I am using a Cq61-125EQ winth ubuntu 10.4 and the wireless and sound are working, but there is something...

• 1 The wireless button is going crazy, i mean its blinking (orange,blue,orange, blue....) which is annoying
• 2 The sound, when i restart the laptop in the speakers i hear a strange noise, its like you crash a plastic bag

If anyone have any idea how to fix this issues, it will be great!
