3gp files in mplayer or other media player...

I know this has been asked before, and I did find some threads on it, but I am still not able to get this working. Is there something simple I am missing here? I can see the video okay, but there is no audio and it says there is a missing plugin, but won't find it.

It's looking for "Adaptive Multi Rate (AMR) decoder"

Under Jaunty Jackalope the easiest way to play amr files is to install the MPlayer package from Medibuntu:

Awesome. They work in mplayer now...but what about VLC and/or totem?

Excellent . Unfortunately I don't know of an easy way to get this running with vlc and I know next to nothing about Totem . Hopefully somebody else can help out with this bit!

3gp files automatically work in VLC for me. As for Totem, I have problems with getting many formats to work.
