    Another Halo Problem

Hey all, tried playing halo today (Radeon 9000 firegl 250, or summat, you know, the one that sucks the hardest ), got everything working fine, up until actually playing it, there's no menu, and if I get lucky, there's some starry background, and a big black thing moving about, and I can see the mouse.

Tried quite a few things, been searching the web for the past two days, and... nadda so far. Can anyone help?

Also I noticed another Halo thread going... He got help just an hour after posting... Lucky him.

    Try reinstalling?

Halo on Linux is not worth it. People have managed to get it working but it doesn't play well. Try this guide: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=486986

If you want to play PC games you should just dual-boot. Probably not the answer you were looking for, but it really is the best option.

You are mistaken and shouldn't make misleading posts.
Halo run quite well on Linux under WINE.
There are hundreds of users who can tell you the same thing.
Also why are you linking to a 2 year old thread? All the info needed is on the AppDB.

Two to three years ago was about the last time I tried getting Halo running on Linux under wine. Didn't really think before I wrote. Woops!

oi, sorry it's taken so long to reply, but yeah, I've already seen all the old threads, and everyone usually just ignores the people who have the problem I've got.
