Re: Conky Lua & Cairo Troubleshooting

The cpu function requires an argument (i.e. cpu0, cpu1 etc.). This was fine on my old dual-core processor laptop, as I could just have two readouts. However, since my new laptop has an i7 processor, it's a bit silly to have 8 different readouts. Is there a way to average these into a single readout?

My first thought was to create a bash script to do this, but I can't find any bash commands which return cpu usage.

    Wrong thread.
This is for LUA and Cairo only.
You question is about core Conky function which works without any LUA or Cairo code.
    Go to Conky thread instead.

Re: Conky Lua & Cairo Troubleshooting

How the heck do I enable or download or whatever the hell I have to do in order to get lua and cairo. Its making conky ugly and I have literally been up 72 hours obsessing over this, someone just tell me how I don't want to code any scripts, or anything, I just want to install conky with the cairo/lua stuff installed. The end.
