Sparkarof, beke!
To keep the wireless on, you need to update the BIOS.
The last update (2009/12/04) is solve it

Thanks Fecos! I'll try the BIOS upgrade asap.
Maybe we should report all of this as one big bug?

NCLI: thanks for reporting the bugs!
I guess I did expect to have more time to work on the thread (i.e. do proper bug reporting). (Un)fortunately, new job, less time.
It'd be great if you could post links to your bugreports in this thread for completeness -- then other people can fill in the blanks without reporting everything twice.
Hello all,
with the intent to sum up and keep up with the latest updates, I want to report my personal experience with these problems to this helpfull thread:
Thanks, this works for me, vote for this bug @ https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/432984
With this fdi and xserver-xorg-input-evtouch 0.8.8-0ubuntu6.1 it works without crashing any second but, as I wrote in launchpad, it's still slow in reacting to input and the calibration ALWAYS goes away when rotating.
I didn't had these problems or I avoided using kde
ADDITIONALY:

the Mic on the screen doesn't work and/or there is no way to command it on mixer
Anyone experience this/found a solution?

Since my last posts here I installed 9.10 Netbook Remix over the desktop version that I had running because that was just TOO full of bugs to manage. UNR has proven to be a lot more stable in a lot of ways except that now I absolutely can't get the touchpad to work. I've been on every forum and I've tried every bit of advice but still nothing. It's been a month now of exhaustive search and I'm reaching the end if my tether. What's the good of a netbook if I need to be carrying periferals like a usb mouse around. One of the big attractions of my T1028 was the MULTI touch touchpad when I bought it.
So, if I go into Preferences>Mouse Preferences there is no tab for Touchpad, or any other indication or option for Touchpad. There is no way to activate Touchpad. I have all the latest Synaptic software installed.
Please note: I am NO linux pro!!!
Doonit, two questions.
1) Is your touchpad working at all? Does it do two-finger scrolling and three-finger-right-click? (it should)
2) Would the application you use actually support multitouch? This seems to be the bigger issue from what I read elsewhere.
Speaking of which, unfortunately (or fortunately imho) the answer seems to be the typical open source answer: it's possible, but not yet implemented automagically. If you feel bold look up http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/op...w07FingerLinux . Be sure to let us know if this worked for you.
What can be done with the synaptics driver at the moment is documented at http://w1.894.telia.com/~u89404340/touchpad/ and in the man page (or e.g. http://linux.die.net/man/5/synaptics ).
In general, you might want to start by reading https://help.ubuntu.com/community/SynapticsTouchpad . Maybe installing one of the GUIs will help you, maybe running one of the daemons will. Hope this helps a little.
