"Bloated" Thread in CCafe

I was just curious as to why the thread was closed for 24 hours.

Barring a couple "tit for tat" arguments in the (very short) thread, there didn't appear to be anything particularly heated about it, at least from where I'm sitting.

Closing a thread down for 24 hours in the Community Café effectively kills a thread. I mean, it's already been kicked back to the 4th page on the Café thread listing.

Sorry, yes, that's the thread in question.

It's not so much that I wanted it unlocked (with only 5 hours to go, it seems rather pointless at this juncture, doesn't it?), I was just curious as to what was deemed so incendiary about it that it warranted locking in the first place.

That, and the thread probably won't see the light of day ever again after its unlock.

The thread was reported when the discussion was going off tracks. I guess it was going to be too complicated to remove all the off topic posts so closing for 24h was an option.

I can ask if cleaning before reopening would suit cariboo who closed it

Okay, I had no answer so far, so I went ahead and did some heavy cleaning on the thread. Time to go to bed, I'll leave it to cariboo to reopen. Please bump here by tomorrow (I mean, MY tomorrow :þ) if needed, thanks.
