    Mulit booting (Jaunty+Windows7+hackintosh)

i have 140 gb hard disk which has 4 partitions. i have installed jaunty and kalyway 10.5.1 in two partitions. now i want to install windows 7 in the 3rd one. but it is a logical partition so windows 7 wont install in it. i tried to format it into a primary partittion using gparted but it didn't work.

what do i have to do to get windows 7 to install?

you will probably have the most success by backing everything up, perhaps making clones of your current partitions and other operating systems...then doing a fresh install of Windows Seven which will probably demand the entire disk for itself

once it's installed and fully updated you can clone it so you can revert to the clone versus having to do a fresh ground-zero install ever again

Then you can use the Windows Seven Partitioner to properly partition the drive however you decide

Then you'll need to decide whether to do fresh installs of your other operating systems...or just trying to put your previously cloned partitions back on the hard drive(not recommended, but you may succeed where others have failed)

    and, just for fun:

as always, your mileage may vary, buyer beware, and buyer be aware
