    10 must-haves for a new Ubuntu user

    I would like to know what your top 10 must have's are if you are a newbie to Ubuntu, or for that matter a regular Ubuntu user?

    Where can I download Emerald Theme manager from. I didn't se it in Synaptic Package Manager or in Add/Remove.

    Use "sudo apt-get install emerald" in the terminal.

    P4Man thanks for your interesting and informative list. I fully agree with you 100%. If you are not willing to learn the Ubuntu/Linus world, what's the point?

    For me I find it really exciting. I am basically a Mac user since 1988 and for the most part I find there are quite a few similarities eith OS X. I love it!!

    I was concerned about cloning my Ubuntu drive so I found PartImage which is very similar to an older version of Norton Ghost that we used to use all the time where I worked.
