I have a dell latitude d400 laptop with 8.04 hardy. I have no access to broadband at home (i live in the mountains) and need a phone modem. I have updated the alsa-driver and the hsf modem drivers through www.linuxant.com and the dialer still doesn't work. The online setup program recognizes the modem; however, the dialer wvdial does not. Anyone with a Dell Latitude D400 with a working modem? Thank you in advance to anyone that may help.
