I had Ubuntu on my Macbook , only thing I had to do was figure how to increase fan speed , it worked great after that ...........
I am trying to get a macbook pro 13".
Did you find the solution to the fan speed eventually?
You can get the fan speed higher with changing some text , I can't remember where exactly because I sold my Macbook but it set the minimum speed to 2000 or something like that........ (search for info)
you will also need to install "refit" , if I remember correctly ........ http://refit.sourceforge.net/
what's going on with your mac, why do you want to sell it?
