    I don't understand the need for editing of nm-applet. It worked fine when I added it to Icebuntu

    thanks for the feedback and encouragement! i wasn't really sure how this would be received by the community -- especially since i wasn't hosting source code (which i have never even seen...). i wasn't sure if my method/justification would pass public scrutiny.

    is it live or just a installer?
    Just like Ubuntu, its a LiveCD with an install button on the desktop.

    I'm a fan of CrunchBang for low-spec computers
    that is actually how this started. i didn't like how #!'s menu items did not update, and i did not like all the extra stuff included in #! by default. i added lxpanel and started stripping things away, tweaking here and there.... i stopped and just started from scratch with the mini.iso.

    I don't understand the need for editing of nm-applet. It worked fine when I added it to Icebuntu
    cat /etc/xdg/autostart/nm-applet.desktop
    Code:
    [Desktop Entry]
    Name=Network Manager
    Comment=Control your network connections
    Icon=nm-device-wireless
    Exec=nm-applet --sm-disable
    Terminal=false
    Type=Application
    #OnlyShowIn=GNOME;XFCE;
    X-GNOME-Bugzilla-Bugzilla=GNOME
    X-GNOME-Bugzilla-Product=NetworkManager
    X-GNOME-Bugzilla-Component=general
    X-GNOME-Autostart-enabled=true
    X-Ubuntu-Gettext-Domain=nm-applet
    by default, that line is not commented out. maybe iceWM does it when it installs from the repos? lxde does not.

    Here's a mirror for it:
    thanks a ton, CJ Master!! ill update the website right now, since apparently TPB is having issues...

    the torrent has pretty good download even though that atm we are only 3 uploading
    i think there is some Swedish drama affecting the tracker i picked somewhat at random, at this very moment: http://torrentfreak.com/the-pirate-b...rities-090824/

    ill get on that right now -- unfortunately, that means those of you kind enough to help me seed will need to take a moment redirect your efforts :\

    edit: new .torrent: http://www.mininova.org/tor/2882335

    also, updated the website to link to CJ Master's mirror.

    No problem, it appears the mirror came just in time before they tackled TPB.

    I created a dropbox account just for it, I could you give you username/password for it if you'd like.

    you aren't spending money out of your pocket just for this are you?!?!??

    I'm talking about this distro specifically....not LXDE in general.
    from my site:
    It does not contain any custom artwork, logos, or any other modifications to any of those packages beyond those made by Ubuntu
    the screenshots he linked are accurate. but i see your point, perhaps i should add more screenshots.
