    9.04 Wired Internet Not Working

    Hey everyone,

I'm on a PC running XP, with Ubuntu 9.04 installed via Wubi. In XP the internet works perfectly, but in Ubuntu it is disconnected 99% of the time and sometimes will randomly connect itself for a few seconds.

It is a wired ethernet connection, and the PC does not have a wireless card.

I ran the following two commands; ifconfig -a and lshw -C network after reading about them in someone elses thread. I have no idea what the results mean or if they can help me.

This is my first venture into Linux and I'm finding it frustrating, hopefully this won't be a big issue!

Any help would be great, thanks!

Re: 9.04 Wired Internet Not Working

    Would you please try:
    Code:
sudo ethtool -K eth0 tso off
Let us know if the trouble persists. Thanks.

Has anybody else got any ideas?

If I can't sort out the internet I'm going to have to delete Ubuntu and return to XP, which would be a shame.
