Actually I think the updated kernel is in proposed repo. You can get updates from it if you follow this guide: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Testing/EnableProposed

Well I updated the kernel and same o'l situation. I looked at the bug report and the same kind of deal but every body has different symptoms. I mean it used to boot so fast until like a week ago.

I tried the solution on the bug report and no go. Any one with a solution please help this is driving me nuts the fast startup speed was one of the main reasons that I switched from windows.
Bigger problem guys it did a routine drive check and it says it fails fsck of root filestatem failed and have to do manual one and won't let me in now I really don't know what to do
