I check FSF's Defective by Design site occasionally for DRM-related news, it surprises me that they actually mentions Steam (Valve's game service). I don't think they mentioned it before. Anyway they bring up some good points. It could be read here, http://www.defectivebydesign.org/blog/1259.

Any thoughts? Reading it is just reminding me of when they stopped supporting Windows 98 and ME. People who couldn't upgrade couldn't play their games after a certain update. That rips people off since they own a game they can't play.

Besides I only have two games that require Steam, I haven't bought any new ones due to requirements and the update fact.
