Okay, I figured it'd be best to ask here so everyone could know. Is there a specific type of drive/interface I need to look for to replace my optical drive with a lightscribe burner? Or are all internal laptop optical drives created equal?

Well some of the newer computers have SATA optical drives, but some of the older ones have PATA. Which computer do you have again? Is it the SerP4?
Little too rushed in the Monday morning blitz to notice the thread subject?
GEESH! Sorry, man. Yeah, I'm pretty slammed on Mondays. I haven't even gotten my morning cup of coffee yet, and it's 2:04PM!
OK, the SerP5 has a SATA optical drive.
Thanks for the info on the drive.
That's why I bring a 8-cup thermos with me in the morning. Of course, I *STILL* don't get my first cup for a few hours. I think work doesn't pile up over the weekend, it _lines_ up like a heat of sprinters.
Hey! You're in Ohio! Are you going to OLF?
OLF ?????
I'm going to the "Flying Horse Mile" at Beulah Park today
