Ubuntu in the context of these forums is an Operating System, meaning that it runs your computer. Have a look here: http://www.ubuntu.com/products/whatisubuntu

Ubuntu is an African word meaning 'Humanity to others', or 'I am what I am because of who we all are'. The Ubuntu distribution brings the spirit of Ubuntu to the software world.

To use Ubuntu to play your shows, you need to install it first. This is described at https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Installation I'm sure there are many people here who can help you with the process if you get stuck.

However: I don't mean to sound rude, but if you've made up your mind to stick with Windows XP, you'd be better off asking your question at a Windows forum.
