I'm not deep enough into linux yet to overcome what is probably an easy problem.
A bad Southbridge forced me to replace my mommyboard. The new board is an ASRock K7VT4A PRO and it came with a CD that has the SATA support driver on it.
My problem: The directions state that I need to cut an fd to install it. The CD has a space in the volume name and I can't figure out how to run the fd creation script because I can't figure out how to address the file. I think that the path should be:
"K7VT4A PRO/SATA/SATA_XP64_XP_2K_ME_98(430G)/SETUP.EXE"
The doc further states that it should be bootable but it doesn't.
I can run UBUNTU and access the SATA drive, but I have XP on the SATA and I need to boot into windows for school. Thanks to all that read this and double if anyone can help.
