    Bluetooth problem on Lenovo G530

    Hi everyone,

    I've recently installed Ubuntu with a view to removing Windows entirely (currently dual booting). Bit by bit, I'm getting there.

    Unfortunately, I've hit a snag. I'm running 9.04 on a Lenovo G530, and can't seem to get Bluetooth working. I've read a few guides, and I'm thinking that I don't have bluetooth drivers installed / enabled. I believe this because

    1) My Bluetooth Applet's preferences only has a general tab to specify when to show the icon. Guides I've read have referred to more tabs than I can see, and

    2) In Terminal, running

    $ hcitool scan

    results in

    Device is not available: No such device

    So, can anyone help? Is the problem driver related as I suspect, or have I missed something? Thanks in advance.

    Re: Bluetooth problem on Lenovo G530

    Well, according to the specifications I've seen, Bluetooth isn't enabled on the G530 (for some odd reason) and therefore not available as an option for you to choose.

    But I could be wrong!
