Confused!!!

Ok i was playing urban terror and this has also happened with assault cube, and openarena.. during game play my screen jumps and then all of a sudden i can see my top bar of my gnime display and i can not moce my mouse or anything... does anyone have any clue what would cause this??

your screen gets bright? keys get stuck sometimes?

i solve it like this, the mouse doestn work for the game but should be on the desktop so if you see the top bar of the game window rightclick and minimize it then go to the bottom bar and click on the window again, this will put it bakc into fullscreen and movement and mouse stuff should return fast

You have Intel graphics too? i have a del mini 9

not Intel graphics eh? no idea what causes your problems then, is your experience anything like mine?

my screen will go black and just freeze and i can not do anything what so ever...it does not get bright just all of a sudden the screen will jump i will see the top bar of the game and the top bar of my gnome display and thats were it sticks....

mmm, different to mine, what graphics options do you use? i drop them to the preset "fastest" with sound quality on high so its clear. maybe graphics, i think

ok last night i tried to lower the graphics on the game and still the same thing happend i am very dumb founded about this...

the only other thing i can think of is that you dont have the latest/required drivers for it but you must...

sorry but im all out of ideas, i mean you could try the Window$ thing and remove it and then get it back again...

Well i have the lastest drivers installed....

I think your error is Compiz. Make sure it is disabled before running a game.

Right click the desktop >> Left click "Change Desktop Background" >> Left click the "Visual Effects" tab >> Left click the little circle next to "None: Provides a simple desktop environment without any effects".

This will disable Compiz and hopefully allow you to play Urban Terror without any trouble.
