Dear All,
I am having a bit of a problem here. I installed ubuntu on my laptop (fujitsu-simens amilo pa 3553) from the minimal ubuntu CD. The live CD would not work due to some graphic driver problem. During the installation, I chose to encrypt the home partition. I have just realized that I made a mistake and created a swap partition of a few Mb instead of a few Gb.
Now, I would like to resize the home partition and enlarge the swap area.
Since I could not use the live CD, I chose to restart in single user mode, run parted in interactive mode and resize my home. However, I got an error saying that I cannot resize the partition.
After googling here and there, I found
http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=726724
so I think that the problem is due to the fact that the partition is encrypted.
My question: can anyone resize an encrypted \home partition using parted or gparted but without the live CD?
Any suggestion is really appreciated.
Cheers
