    File sharing on Ubuntu Desktop

    Hello,

Is it possible to do directory/file sharing from an ubuntu desktop, or is it mandatory to use a server edition for that purpose ?

    Tanks for your replies

You can try sshfs to mount remote filesystems to your local directory tree.

You will probably need to install a server of some sort (Samba, SSHFS, NFS, etc.), but you can do that on a desktop.
