    Question Personal library cataloguing?

Hello! So yeah, in my family we have like a zillion books and, surprise! surprise! Sometimes it turns out we have like 3 or 4 editions of the same book, so I was wondering if there is a software out there to easily catalog all these books?

I'd suggest zotero, a firefox add-on. For books, you just need to type the ISBN in google books (or similar sevices) and then click on a icon to import the information into zotero.

Alexandra Book Collection Manager is probably what you are looking for:

    Code:
    sudo apt-get install alexandria
allows you to import book information from amazon etc.
    mostly harmless

Alexandria can also use UPC readers. I bought a pre-modded CUECAT for about $10.
