will my eeepc 701SD work with Orange "E610" mobile broadband dongle?

Hi all,
I have an eeepc 701SD running xubuntu (8.04.3). I wish to sign up to this: http://shop.orange.co.uk/shop/mobile...gle?WT.svl=205

Because you can pay for an extra 10 gig usage per month and the contract is monthly.

The device is apparently an e610, this means nothing to me as I know nothing about this subject.

I'm using the 2.6.24-21 kernel with eeepc patches, my question is, does anyone know if this particular dongle will work and if so how to set up?

The dongle will work, but on Ubuntu 8.04 it will be a pain in the neck to configure. Network Manager in Ubuntu 8.10 and 9.04 have better support for USB dongles.
