    batch photo resolution converter

    Hello all.
Would anyone be able to recommend a simple program for ubuntu that will essentially convert photos to a lower resolution?

I have what is probably over 1,000 hi-res pictures that have piled up through the years and it's a nightmare browsing through them, so a simple program that would allow me to batch convert them to a lower resolution would be a life-saver here (I can't even begin to imagine the thought of attempting to do it one by one).

    Thanks

Thanks. It doesn't seem to be allowing me to drag more than one file at a time. Any other alternatives?

    Thanks.

I guess it would help if I followed directions correctly. Thank you for spelling it out. I will give it a try.
