    Hiya lovinglinux,

A quick question, I'm still on FF Namoroka (3.6.1pre) on both my 9.10 and 10.04 - Is it time to update both to a full release ? (and if so, point me to the directions )

Not sure if this is what i need ?
    For ubuntu karmic/Lucid users
    sudo add-apt-repository ppa:mozillateam/firefox-stable
    sudo apt-get update
    sudo apt-get install firefox-3.6
    Thanks,

    Phill.

Yep, that's is what I use. Nevertheless, you won't need that on Lucid, since it already has Firefox 3.6. Disable any ppa for Firefox that you have and re-install firefox.

    Hmm.. Well, I tried the
    Code:
    sudo apt-get update
     sudo apt-get install firefox-3.6
and it said it went a getting, and firefox then went a getting updates for extensions.. Still says 3.6.1pre and Namoroka ..

    I've just rsync'd everything over to my 'other' /home - How do i "re-install" ?

/edit - which reminds me .... I haven't backed up to my other, other home recently

    Thanks,

    Phill.

First remove or disable the ubuntu-mozilla-daily ppa, then add the mozillateam/firefox-stable ppa then remove firefox and firefox-3.6, then install firefox only. Don't worry, it will say that firefox-3.5 will be installed, but in fact it will be 3.6.

    ubufox 0.8-0ubuntu1
    firefox-branding 3.6.1~hg20100125r35540+nobinonly-0ubuntu1~umd1

It doesn't matter. Just make sure to re-install any dependencies like ubuntu-desktop if the package manager also remove them. I'm on KDE, so I forget about those details.

Anyone tried 3.0.18 (compilation with PGO). I am getting strange errors on checkinstall:
