How can I join a channel on irc.freenode.net

Hi,

I have never ever used IRC. I wanted to ask some things aboubt Ubuntu One in their channel on freenode... But I don´t know how to "get there".

I wanted to use pidgin, adding an irc account, but it wants me to enter name and password.


What to do?? How do you chat irc?

Here you go, with screenshot and all. It's amazing what you can find with google these days. See you around on #ubuntu or #ubuntu-offtopic. Also here are some basic irc commands that can be useful.
Btw you can enter a username and password of your choice in Pidgin and then it will make that account for you. But read the link I gave. Be sure to remember what you filled in.
