    No Video Playback on Websites

Hello all, I have recently reinstalled Ubuntu and for some reason I am unable to watch videos on any website besides Youtube. Does anyone have an idea? There is a giant grey play button where the videos should be. Like I say, Youtube is fine just any place else I go I am unable to view videos.

I just reinstalled the flash pluging for Firefox and videos are still not playing. (only Youtube works).

I removed all Flash packages and reinstalled them. This seems to have taken care of the problem!

Hello nacho32, you may go directly to the Adobe site and download a tar ball from there. The download for the 64 bit Flash is at the very bottom of the page! Detailed installation instructions are located on this site. Hope this helps you out! Have a great day!

I would try removing your Java and Flash packages and then reinstalling them. That solved the issue for me.

edit: I have yet to come across a need for Quicktime in Ubuntu.
