    Thanks for the report, I'll see what I can do
    I checked it out. It seems a python-QT4 bug.
    The debian guys already fixed, but I'm not sure it will be fixed on Ubuntu soon.

    Here's the report from the debian guys:

    I'll fill out a bug report

    Is there a workaround in the meantime? e.g. Can the source be built against more recent python QT4 bindings in another directory?

    cheers,
    Alex

    Try installing the packages 'python2.5', 'python2.6' and 'python3.0' to see if that makes any difference

    Update:
    Is now possible to create your own profiles.

    The main program doesn't auto-add custom profile yet; This will be done for v0.3.1.
    Right now I will try to make a good icon and fix all the bugs I can find. This will complete the 0.3.0 version, so after that I'll be waiting for suggestions on how to improve SixA.

    hey, which works better, following the sixaxis gui that you have made or these directions - "https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Sixaxis"?

    thanks.

    thanks.
    Those directions are for old Ubuntu Hardy (released more than one year ago). And they actually don't work on new Ubuntu versions.
    So I recommend using my app.
    It works... - isn't that the most important?

    Ive been using it for about a week and loving it. Good job.

    But there is a bug I wanted to mention.

    The profiles arent swapable. In order for me to change controller profiles I have to disconnect and restart the pc before the new settings take effect. Would be awesome if I could change profiles on the fly.

    I don't think that would be possible right now.
    The profiles are 'fdi' (xml) files that HAL loads when a device is connected and matches the fdi info file (in the xml tag "match"). Maybe it's possible to unset a specific HAL device and force it's reload, I don't know.
    I'll look into it.

    EDIT: I haven't noticed the restart...
    I don't know if you wrote it on purpose or not, but I can say restart it's not needed; just disconnect and connect again.

    * New SixA icon [Original icon from tango/gnome devs]
    * Updated sixa.desktop file
    * Marked as RC1

    Time for bug fixing, so please report any bugs you find
