Hello everyone, I have been using Ubuntu for almost 2 months and could not be happier. Contrary to how many other new users feel, I love the terminal! On to my issue. I have Compiz Fusion installed and my desktop is set up as a cube with 5 sides, 5 desktop views and when I engage my middle mouse button to view the pentagon from above and rotate it in the 3-D environment there is an odd red and black symbol on top and on the bottom there is a blue and white arrow symbol. I have no idea how I managed to get those views. I have been all through the visual preference settings and have not been able to find how I can disable the top and bottom views while in the 3-D mode. The backgound behind my pentagon was origanally grey and the top and bottom were Ubuntu brown or tan I suppose some might call it. As I said this is obviously very minor, I can't really even call it a problem, it's just irritating me that I have been unable to change the views. I love Ubuntu, it has brought me closer to my machine! Thanks for any help in advance. Sorry if this has been addressed by the forum already I searched and was unable to find my issue. Thanks!!
You'll find the controls for that in the Cube reflection and deformation plugin of CCSM. Go to Cube caps tab and choose your pictures there. The ones you see at the moment are probably fusioncap and compizcap.
Thank you so very much, you just made my day!
