Thread: xbmc, where did it install to, how do i open the program?

    xbmc, where did it install to, how do i open the program?

    just did fresh install and reboot, dont see it listed in any drop down menu from the start bar. anyone tell me where an icon or how to start the program please!?!

    all you have to do is run xbmc in terminal and see what it says.
    I have mine under sound and video.I installed from the repos.

    apparently its not installed.. yet is why, i get this error when i do

    Yes, you need to check the README file for linux, then make sure all your dependencies are satisfied.

    You can try running sudo apt-get build-dep xbmc too
