Two Monitors - A Virtual Desktop For Each

    Hi all,

I just bought a new monitor and I was wondering if there was a way to have a virtual desktop running on the second monitor. As of now, I'm able to use the new monitor as an extension of my original one (one big desktop.) But I much rather have it as another virtual desktop so that I can pass windows between them, etc. but have them remain semi-independent.

    Hope that's clear enough...

    Thanks.

    Does this help?

    http://www.techotopia.com/index.php/..._Linux_Desktop

I'm in a slightly different situation as I use a laptop to drive a TV screen (Ubuntu of course!) and trying to remote desktop into as two desktops that overlap doesn't seem to work, I can't control the desktop but can see it>....

    HTH,

    Mike

It might help some, if I could get something a bit larger. I'll take a look around the preferences for vncserver and see what I can come up with.

    Thanks!
