    Linux compatible Printer/Scanner/Copier

I currently have a Canon Multipass F30 that doesn't have any decent linux drivers for printing and zero for scanning. Sadly, that seems to be the case for Canon in general. I'm looking to replace this printer with an equivalent one that is fully compatible with Linux.

Are there any printer manufacturers who have more love for Linux, especially with multi-function printers?

HP OfficeJet 7210xi - works beautifully - scan and print were set up automatically as soon as I plugged in the USB cable. Also I am able to access the scanner and printer through Adobe Acrobat Pro running in XP on VirtualBox. Surprised me how easy it was to use, and runs just as fast and same quality as running natively in Windows.

I have an Epson NX400 that works for what I want it for. Wasn't supported in Intrepid, but Jaunty has the driver.

hp and brother have linux drivers.
you can use a printer on win in virtualbox.
you install virtualbox, set up windows on it,install printer drivers and then you can fire up the vm when you want the printer or any other usb device for that matter.

we have ubuntu installed in our office and we use samsung scx 4300 for a while. its printer-scanner-copier. after initial troubles it is working quite well. and yes you can share that thru on VM and on server with other comps too. though sometimes initially it gave some strange results, but for a while now its all working fine. samsung printers come with linux drivers (we figured that thru their website after looking for a while. also all HP should work, though their official website does not say so.)
